Would you like to get to know the reality of local communities closely? An entire day in which you can get to know the artisanal productions of beautiful Andean fabrics and “ocarine”, all without changing the Pisac archaeological complex!
Pick-up from the hotel and transfer from Cusco to Pisac, in a private vehicle and accompanied by a private guide. We will start by visiting the archaeological complex of Pisac, with its huge walls, temples and terraces. From there we continue up to Chawautiri Community, famous for its textiles. We will be shown all the manufacturing process. We will also have a short walk to visit some ancient cave paintings.
We have lunch at a local family place in Cuyo Grande. They will show us how they produce “ocarinas”, typical Andean instruments. After lunch, we visit a workshop of ancestral and ceremonial Andean musical instruments, where they also give us information about the Andean Cosmovision (the world as perceived by the Incas). After lunch we head before we get back to Cusco.
Private tour.
Local communities are paid for the handicraft and textiles manufacturing process display. There is no obligation to buy their products. Still, it is a nice opportunity to buy quality products straight from the producer.
A wonderful journey, wonderful people, I was stunned by the culture and charm of the places I visited… I thank the agency for this adventure; thank you so much!
