Day 1

Cusco/Ollantaytambo/Aguas Calientes

Departure from Cusco at the most convenient time for you, by private car or minibus. We’ll drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo, a cobblestone town with Incan ruins. In the afternoon, we’ll take the train to Aguas Calientes. Pick-up at the station and night in hotel.

 

Day 2

Machu Picchu/Cusco

Breakfast at dawn so as to take the first bus (6 a.m.) from Aguas Calientes to the citadel of Machu Picchu. We’ll visit this incredible archeological site until around 2 p.m. Then, we’ll take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco. End of tour.

Please note the following:

You may add the visit to the Maras salt mines and the Moray terraces (in the Sacred Valley) at the additional cost of 10 Euros/US$14 per person.

All PeruEtico tours require a project contribution, even if, as in this case, they don’t include a visit to the projects we support. We invite you to get to know the organizations and the children when you come to Cusco (Hogar de las Estrellas and Mosoq Runa) and Lima (CEPROF).

The project contribution will go to the projects Mosoq Runa, Hogar de las Estrellas and CEPROF.

 

This tour includes:

Transport via private car or minibus from Cusco to Ollantaytambo.

This tour does not include:

A private guide in English at Machu Picchu (around US$30 per person).
