The experience and the friendship with the Andean communities gained in these last 10 years through the responsible tourism, lead us to start this new experience: “ETIKA”.
Etika Fair Trade is an organization dedicated to the fair and solidarity trade in Peru.
Our work directly involves a group of local producers in the upper Andean area of Cusco and Puno.
We support the communities supplying them raw materials, quality control systems, searching new trade channels and trade strategies.
Etika Fair Tradecontributes to a sustainable development giving better economic conditions and warranting the rights of the producers, who otherwise will be left on the margins by the multinational companies.
Our products are certified and entirely packed in the production country.
Etika Fair Trade aims to be an alternative trade form in the Peruvian market, different from the conventional one: we would like to promote economic equity, vocational training and access to the market to all the disadvantaged producers, for this reason we warrant a fair return and working conditions, avoiding speculative intermediation and supporting self-development projects.
In Etika catalogue you can find two broad categories of products: Alpaca’s wool products coming from the community of Puno’s plateau and textile and ceramics produced by the Andean community of Cusco’s and Ayacucho’s rural areas.
