The Salkantay Mountain (6,271 meters/20,471 feet above sea level), part of the Vilcanota mountain range, was called "Apu" by the Inkas and was worshipped as a deity of guidance and protection. Salkantay dominates a great part of the Sacred Valley, and the spectacular Vilcanota Mountains are the principal starting point for trekking programs. We’ll follow the breathtaking trail, made of stones, steps and tunnels, on a route that runs from the valley of the Urubamba River (2,350 m/7,755 ft) to the peaks of the Andes (4,200 m/13,860 ft).

The Inca Jungle Trail with a sense of coffee 3 days
This short program immerses travelers quickly into the miraculous world of Machu Picchu Coffee, by visiting a coffee farmer and his family and the coffee cooperative Huadquiña. We will learn about the coffee elaboration process, the different harvests, flavors and qualities and the hard work of the coffee farmers that have been growing coffee on these slopes for many generations.
